Why mark your feet up with ink???
2007Because I fucking wanted to, that's why!

When I was 19 I faced My own mortality and learned that I had the beginning threat of breast cancer. I had to have 7 benign tumors removed from My left breast. Though I did not battle to the extent that so many women have to, it still felt scary and so eye-opening! To mark this life changing event I wanted something permanently placed on My skin as a reminder of My strength and courage. February 5th of 2007 was the day that I decided to tattoo both of My feet.

I settled on a tastefully sized nautical star on each foot. They are pink and black in support of the fight for a cure and represent My "cancer ribbons". To further the meaning behind My ink of choice, nautical stars signify guidance in one's life and luck. It seemed all too fitting to have these symbols mark My experience.

Though some may recoil at the mere sight of foot and other lower extremity tattoos, I was not concerned with that clique of folks and did, as I always do, as I damn well pleased. If ink or tattoos are "not your thing" - make your way to another site now! I believe an "empty canvas" is just that and awaits whatever works of art I feel like painting on top of it!
